What Causes Long Term Redness In The Eye?

Hello, i'm concerned about a persistant, long term redness in the inside corners of my eye, extending out to about 1 or 2cm from the pupil, it doesn't hurt ot anything, but it looks very wet and red, and i never used to have it. It's been there for at least a year or so now. I just need to know if I should be seeing an optometrist, or a GP

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
It seems from the history that you are having chronic redness of eyes.
This can be seen in chronic conjunctivitis or allergies or dry eyes.
The treatment depends on the underlying cause.
Hence you need to consult ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
