What Causes Long Stringy Pieces In Stool?

Hello, I have noticed long stringy pieces in my stool and am concerned about what it could be. The pieces look almost like grass (flat and about the same width as a blade of grass), and are about 3-4 inches long. I don t recall eating anything that resembles these things, and the two instances occurred about a month apart. Just wondering if you think it s worth a trip to the Dr? Thank you

1. The possibilities which one has to exclude is/are:

. It could be some indigestible substance which you might have eaten unknowingly (like plastic in some meat products/ on a hot dog)

. It can be possible that you might have been infected by worms through contaminated food.

2. You should consult your doctor who will do some blood/urine/stool test to confirm the diagnosis and to arrive at possible management & treatment.
