Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. You seem to have had an anovulatory cycle evidenced by the persistent unruptured follicle. The cause of this enlarged unruptured follicle is hormonal. This is also the reason why you have a prolonged period. In the current scenario, firstly, you should try and arrest the bleeding by using styptics and also progesterone. There is no use in trying to rupture the follicle now as it is larger than normal and may not respond. You should also get a complete hormone profile to see what is wrong. Hope this helps.
