I am in my early forties, healthy and in good shape. I have two childre, 9 and 12. The first delivered via cesarean, the second vaginally. For the first time in over four years, I have begun to have intercourse, and, though it s great to do this, I am having some things happen that are new and a little worrisome. In the midst of intercourse I discharge this crazy amount of clear liquid. I am not having an orgasm when it happens. I am aware that some women release a gush of liquid when they orgasm, but I don t think that s what s happening here. I don t think it s urine - it doesn t smell like it. I did have intercourse in the years following the birth of my children, and this didn t happen. So I don t think it s a post-delivery situation, My new partner has been very nice about it, but since this is the first time I ve been with someone other than my husband in 20 years, I feel embarrassed and weird, Additionally, I have a pain on the interior wall of my vagina, on the right side. It hurts during intercourse, but not so badly that I have to stop. I m truly delighted to be in an intimate adult relationship again. But I am frustrated that these odd new things are happening. I appreciate any insight you have to offer.
