Hi, My father is 76 years old. His height is 5 7 and his normal weight is around 66 kgs. For the past few months(since April)he has been losing weight and is now 61 kgs. At the moment his problem is that he feels lightheaded all the time and his stomach feels bloated. He has become constipated ever since his bypass in 2005 and now his bowel movements are giving problems. He is either constipated or after having laxatives he gets loose motions. He feels very weak all the time and feels like lying down all the time, when he lies down his head doesnt reel anymore. We have got blood tests done, his haemoglobin, thyroid, cholestral are fine. His stool test showed undigested matter after which he had taken some medicines for amoebiosis. Medical history - Gall bladder op in 1975, 2 hernia ops in 1980s, bypass in 2005. He is a heart patient but not diabetic. Lately his pressure has been higher than his normal 110/70 ..ie. its now 130/85 on average. His anxiety level is very high, he s always been a nervous person. He s also an insomniac and barely sleeps for more than 4 hrs at night. He s been having sleeping pills for many years. We are unable to find out whats wrong with him even after showing him to many doctors.
