What Causes Light Brown Vaginal Spotting During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am just beginning my 13th week of pregnancy. I have been monitored weekly starting with a fertility Dr. And now seeing both an Ob and a specialist. I have had two previous miscarriages. Since the 4th week I have spotted of and on but each weekly ultrasound show everything is great! Last night I started having a very light brown spotting with very tiny brown clots- im not even sure they are clots. I just had an ultrasound Monday and everything was fine. Should I just wait this out?

Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion bleeding in pregnancy might be due to cervical causes, placental causes. But as the ultrasound is fine placental causes might be ruled out.The bleeding might be due to cervical causes or any hormonal imbalance like progesterone insufficiency or thyroid abnormalities.I suggest you to get investigations done to rule out thyroid abnormalities. And avoid intercourse and physical strain and take good rest.Dont worry it will subside and pregnancy continues normally.
