What Causes Light Bleeding After Taking Ortho Tri-cyclen Soon After The Periods?

I gave birth almost 5 months ago. Soon after giving birth I started my first pack ever of birth control, (Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo) after finishing the first pack, I stopped taking them for almost two months as I could not afford them anymore. I recently found a free clinic, went for a full body exam and they put me back on Ortho Tri-cyclen Lo, however I did not start taking the pill until my period began, which was 2 weeks ago. My cycle finished, I continued taking the pill of course, and still am, but 3-4 days later, I began to bleed again. Light bleeding every now and then, and i really just wanna know if this is normal?
