What Causes Leukorrhea?

Hello, I have not had my periods for more than 2 months now. I do have pcos i used to take medicine before but then stopped and they naturally would come normal with a gap of 32 days to 40 maximum. However this time i have not had them. I went in for a pelvic ultrasound and they said i had swelling and had leukhorrea. The practitioners said i was not getting my periods due to leukhorrea and also the back pain. They were not actual doctors but practitioners only so i wanted to ask is this possible? And i am using gynosporin and taking nutrient powder with milk so if this finishes will i get my periods immediately?

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Leukorrhea may be caused by vaginal yeast infection, bacteria vaginosis, PID/STIs, birth control pills, vaginitis, pregnancy....If caused by yeast infection, gynosporin may help control it.However, the best best would have been to get a vaginal swap smear test, pregnancy test and other STI tests.
Absence of menses while suffering from PCOS is normal and may last for many months in some people.Absence of menses while suffering from PCOS is always due to non-ovulatory cycles.I will suggest you see your Gynecologist for examination and if need be, a progesterone challenge test. You may get your period after progesterone withdrawal.
Your symptom may not have anyhting to do with leukorrhea.I can not say you will have your menses when you finish using gynesporin.
Just see your Gynecologist for evaluation.Your Gynecologist may also decide to treat you for a PID since your ultrasound result revealed swelling which could likely be of infectious origin.
Hope this will help
Wish you good health
