What Causes Lethargy And Illness Even After Treatment?
74 yrs old female
24th Dec 2010 diagnosed with an underactive thyroid.
Readings:
24th Dec 2010 TSH 11.86 T4 13 50 thyroxine tab.
4th March 2011 it was TSH 26.98 T4 13 put onto l00 thyroxine tab.
Warfarin 12 tablets
Sotalol 40 mg cut in half -- half morning half at night
Prozac started 20mg .
Feels very lethargic and unwell all the time despite treatment
What is going on ?

I read carefully your concern.
As far as i can understand you didn't check the TSH level after changing the dose of levothyroxine from 50 mcg daily to 100 mcg daily.
The symptoms you reported can be due to fluctuating thyroid hormones.
I would recommend to check:
-TSH,Ft4 and FT3 level and adjust the dose of levothyroxine properly.
