What Causes Leg Pain After The Treatment For Shingles?

I had shingles January 14th 2014, I m 48 yrs., and was treated with the correct meds (zovarax??). Rash ended 10-15 days later. Rash came above my buttock along the left thigh through the pubic area. Since then, I have been getting severe leg pain on the left leg all the way down to my ankle. Usually notice it at night and will wake me up from a sound sleep
