Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Since home pregnancy tests read well 3-7 days after the missed period, in the current scenario, you can go for the estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres for an earlier and better confirmation. The symptoms you have described seem more likely to suggest a possible pregnancy. Yet, proper confirmation is necessary. A trans-vaginal sonogram should be done after a week if you still do not see your period. The spotting could either be an implantation bleed or a premenstrual bleed. Hope this helps.
