What Causes Late Period Even After Clomid Intake?

Hi, I am a patient of PCOD and have not got my periods since a year. every two months i induce it through medicine. This time did the same and so got my periods on 15th Nov. Started Clomid 100 mg from the 3rd day for 3 days. After that went for folliciular monitoring but the size of the follicles were 4.6 mm for both the ovaries. Later the doctor gave me GMH 75 3 injections on day 8th, 9th & 11th but the follicle size were still the same of 4.6 mm ...now the doctor has increased the dose of gmh 75 to gmh 150 , waiting for my next monitoring on day 13, what if the the size still does not increase ?. i am worried, as i am not sure why my body is not reacting to this medication. Have done it twice before, in which only the first time this gmh 75 injection worked and my follicles grew, but after that its the second time that my ovaries are not reacting to it. Please advise what is the cause of this and how can it be treated. My age is 28 and my weight is 102 Kgs.

Hello,
The possible causes are-either low inherent hormone status which is making the ovaries unresponsive to external medication or insufficient drug dosage. When induction of ovulation is planned with Clomiphene in PCOD, additional benefit is usually seen with added Metformin since insulin resistance is a usual accompaniment. Also, management of a healthy weight, healthy diet and regular exercise are mandatory. Success is usually a result of patience and perseverance with trial of a maximum of six cycles in this manner.
