hi, i am 19 years old boy (and a virgin) and i have never felt the desire to masturbate and every few times i have tried to, and can't get aroused. is this common or serious problem for a person my age and is there anything i can do about it as i am becoming increasingly worried about it.

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .
Not to get desire for sex or masturbation at the age of 19 is not normal and needs to be dealt with .

Consult qualified Urologist /Endocrinologist for clinical examination especially to look for size of the testicles ,secondary sexual characters etc.
You need to do blood tests like
1) Serum Testosterone levels (Free and Total)
2) Serum levels of Growth Hormone.
3) Prolactin and LH

Further treatment will depend upon results of clinical finding and final diagnosis.
