What Causes Lack Of Bowel Movement In A Kid?

My daughter is 14 weeks old and I think she is surfing from constipation now because it has been a day and half without bowl movements, when she tries to push the only thing that come out is gas and she looks like she has cramps or its painful when she pushes. What is wrong with her or should I take her to a doctor?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The time frame for bowel movements can vary in infants however is she is showing evidence of constipation eg bloating, straining then it may be present.
If she is not straining or there is no bloating then there may be no need for any intervention.

Constipation, at her age, would be mainly affected by the milk that she is using.
If she is formula fed then it may need to be changed. If she is breast fed, it may be affected by your diet.

You may need to speak to her doctor for help.

I hope this helps
