What Causes Lack Of Appetite,waist Pain And Fatigue In Children?

My son is 6 years old and has not eaten for almost two full days now. He did not have a go to the bathroom yesterday except to urinate and he said that it felt like he had hot wax in his penis. No idea how he would know what that feels like but the visual was not good. Today he keeps saying his waist hurts. He has no fever and he is not lethargic even after not eating more than 6 bites since breakfast. Dr. ANDREW Runnemede was working on this and my son got my tablet and disconnected me.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lack of appetite,waist pain and fatigue in children . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like bacteria called Helicobacter pylori can cause peptic ulcers , urinary-tract infections and appendicitis . It seems to me that the symptoms you mention in query occur probably due to urinary track infection . I would suggest you to consult pediatrician for proper examination . Doctor may order urine test , blood test , ultrasound and stool test to confirm the diagnosis .Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for a week along with anti inflammatory and analgesic . Doctor may also refer you to urologist in sever case .
