What Causes Knot Formation In Arm After Drawing Blood?

Hello i had bronchitis and at the hospital they had to take blood from me n after they left the iv n my arm just in case they had to give me fluids threw n iv well they never had to give me fluids so they took it out my arm when i went to leave n now 3 days after it feels like a knot on my arm not to mention when she stuck the needle n my arm she wasnt for sure where my vein was at until i moved cause it hurted then my blood came threw n she was able to collect my blood from the iv

I have studied your case and I think that you might be having collection of blood in the forearm due to needle puncturing blood vessel. It is not serious issue and this blood knot is going to settle in a week. I would recommend you hot water fomentation and thrombofobe ointment so that inflammation will subsides. I would also suggest you to apply compression bandage. I would also recommend Brufen for pain.I hope these steps will help you. Let me know of there is any other followup questions.
