What Causes Joint Pain In Knees, hips And Hands?

I am soon 65 yrs old, female, have great joint pain, primarily in the knees, hips, and hands....night sweats, fatigue ....all of which have worsened in the last 6 mos....My hands hurt SO BAD and I have nodules on the first jpoint of multiple fingers, and horrible pain in the jpint in the bottom of both thumbs, making grasping/holding anything impossible! I have had testing now of my thyroid (ultrasound and blood levels) which is normal, (except for nodules on the thyroid that are small and with NO changes in 5 yrs), tested for RA factor which was normal too......My C Reative protein is off the charts at 11.4. What could be the possible cause? Where do I go from here, since RA and thyroid levels---both thought to be the reason-- showed no issues?

Multiple joints mainly in hands,
High C-reactive Protein indicate inflammatory disease.
R A Facter may be negative many a times .
Nodes at multiple fingers.
Consult Rhematologist & Physiotherapist.

Best of luck.
