General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Your itchy throat after eating pizza more indicating towards oral allergy syndrome which is a form of food allergy due to abnormal response of immune system towards certain food substances. It could also be due to gluten sensitivity present in pizza. You can do a mini test to diagnose gluten sensitivity - avoid wheat product for a week, then again add the same and note any symptoms of allergy that developed/ not after eating and within 24 hours.
For more accurate diagnosis of allergy tests done are- skin test, blood test , food challenge test. consult a physician for further evaluation. You can take tab. levocetirizine 5mg after development of symptoms.
Take care bye.
