What Causes Itchy Throat After Eating Mangoes?

Hey I just ate a mango and my throat feels itchy. I ve been coughing in hopes of getting whatever is bothering my throat out. It calms down after I wait in between eating each mango slice. I ve been eating mangoes for a long time now and only right now has my throat feel itchy. Is it an allergy? I really hope not because I love mangoes.

Allergy to mangoes is not common seen though heard of itching after consumption of pine apple but may be possible with certain types of mangoes.
So, gargle with salt water and take plenty of fluids for relief. If not can go for anti histaminic medications for immediate relief.
Please select ripen mangoes for eating as unripen and sour mangoes can cause itching sometimes.
All the best.
