What Causes Itchy Skin All Over The Body?
I ve had itchy skin all over my body for over a year & a half. I am a 70 yr old female. i ve been examined & tested by an allergist, my dermatologist, my PCP, & a hematologist. My blood platelets have been consistently low. No one has a DX or a potential cure. I take medication for the symptom- itching- but don t want to take it forever, & it isn t completely effective. A friend said I should ask for a scabies test. (she was DX after many months of itching). What do you think?

if your family members also have the same itchy problem then it is likely you might be suffering from scabies otherwise not.
you need to know what is the cause of the low platelet levels, you need to be investigated further for it once the cause is sorted the itchy problem can also disappear.
would suggest get yourself reviewed by a physician to properly evaluate you.
