What Causes Itchy Red Spots On The Hands And Wrists?

Hi,about two or three times a day I break out with little red dots on my hands and wrists, they start itching really bad ,then I start to itch on my legs and feet. Sometimes the itching starts when the weather is warm or hot or when I start to sweat. Sometimes it last 5 minutes sometimes up to 20 minutes. Scratching and trying to ignore it sometimes stops it. What can I do.

As per your complain it seems that recurring itching over hands and wrists seems to be most probably due to causes like allergic reaction to any food or medication, contact dermatitis caused due to contact with any allergen like poison ivy, leather, latex, skin cosmetic, hair follicle infection or Folliculitis, mite infestation causing Scabies etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like blood tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case of allergic reaction anti allergics like Levocetrizine or Allegra can be advised..
Topical steroid ointment, cool compresses and calamine lotion can relieve..

In case of Folliculitis topical antibiotic and steroid ointments and oral antibiotics can be advised..

In case of scabies oral intake of Ivermectin and topical Prethermin lotion can help..
