What Causes Itchy Rashes On The Lower Leg While On Blood Thinners?

Have finished wearing cast for broken left ankle and now wearing boot. On beach vacation now and supposed to be able to stop wearing boot in 5 days. I have an uncomfortable itchy heated rash on the back of my lower left leg. I had originally broken both ankles, after 4 weeks diagnosed with blood clots in lungs and one in left leg, and am now on blood thinners. Have been walking more in boot lately, but today rested and left boot off. Still feels the same. Any suggestions?

HI
Well come HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if the symptoms itch and heat feeling in the leg is matter of concern then it may be due to allergic condition and it is very likely condition seen in patient those had the cast then removed it is advisable to try "Calamine lotion" if the symptoms does not improved then it is better to talk to surgeon hope this information helps.
