I have this itchy rashes on my face and neck for about a month now. Already take ceterizine for 2 weeks and i already consumed 1 tube of hyrdocortisone cream still itchy rashes there. Now, my doctor told me to take celestamine and calmoseptine cream. I dont know if its effective. I only started yesterday. Should i consult an allergist doctor o a dermatologist? Please help. Its affected my day to day activities.
Hi. As per your case history of itching on face and neck, my treatment advice is - 1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with spf more than 30. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
