Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve developed a itching rash on the areas of my body (especially the small of the back) that are normally covered by clothing. I changed my laundry detergent to one that is free of fragrance and coloring and have washed my sheets and clothing twice and shower nightly and apply a light lotion. Any thoughts?
Hello, my name is Dr.Dorina Gurabardhi. I understand your concern. Your symptoms seems to be related to atopic dermatitis. Some advices that I can give to you for the itchy rashes are : -Avoid scratching the rash because doing so can make it worse and could lead to infection. -Apply an over-the-counter hydrocortisone cream to the affected area if the rash is very itchy and causing discomfort. -Calamine lotion can also help relieve rashes. -Baking soda relieve the itching. Hope my answer was helpful, if you have any other questions I'll be glad to help, thanks!
