i have had a small mole on my back that has itched for about a year now...not often - had it looked at a year ago and doctor was a GP and said it was just a itchy mole. it has not grown but feels like feathers that make me try to itch it. shoud i see a specialist? thank you

Yes you need to consult a Dermatologist to look into the matter. It may be cancerous lesion. Normally a mole should not be itchy. If it is, its a point of medical concerns.
Dermatologist may go for histopathology lab diagnosis of a small biopsy of the mole, Or he may excise it as a whole and send to the Laboratory for analysis, or he may ablate it.
