Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have some small bumps on the back of my neck and at the bottom of my hair that itch off and on thru the day. Any ideas of what they may be? I wear mock turtleneck shirts since it is winter and wonder if the rubbing on the lower part of my hair is part of the problem.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have itchy lumps at the back of neck . Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like Contact dermatitis , allergic reaction due to detergent, soap , fragrance , chemical, metal such as in jewelry, poison oak or ivy, an animal bite, or an insect sting and lyme disease .
I would suggest you to consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe anti histamine , corticosteroid ointmet and may give adrenaline short . For now take benadryl twice a day and avoid any cosmetic product .
Apply ice pack on rashes to reduce redness and itchiness . Protect your skin from direct sunlight and cover it with cotton cloth while going outside .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
