What Causes Itching On The Body While On Amlodipine Besylate And Losartan?

I take Amlodipine Besylate 10 mg in the morning with Losartan 100mg for high blood pressure. I do have itching the next morning. I have a cough that comes about 24/7 with a tickle in my throat... and it passes. I have pain in my hips and up my sides of my torso when I walk at work. My feet feel like they are swollen. My left foot is slightly swollen. I am short of breath when walking and I have to sit down. I work in a nursing home. I used to be an LNA... 27yrs. Because of my issues, I now work 32 hrs. Mostly in Activities and 4 hrs. in Nursing.I am 64yrs old Need some answers

hello, i think your sypmtoms are because of high dosages of these anti hypertensive drugs. amlodipine can cause the pedal edema or leg swelling as a side effect. reduce both drug dosages and add a diuretic like chlorthiazide for reducing the accumulated fluids. try to sleep with your foot end raised at nights so as to decrease leg swellings.
