What Causes Itching On The Body After Inserting Stent In The Atrium?
I have already gone to taking bed for base tan. I had stent placed into a collapsed stent in my ivc at tip of my atrium. I went for first time since the procedure three weeks ago and I m miserable..itching all over. No new meds, unsure why??, suggestions?

Hi.
As per your case history of generalized itching, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid, hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
