What Causes Itching On Penis After Taking Cipro For Prostatitis?

I was diagnosed with Prostatitis 1 month ago. I was prescribed Cipro for 4 weeks. Penis shaft, head, and scrotum have been itching/burning/prickling for 3 months now. Had two red sores on penis head that are starting to fade away now. I am circumcised. I do not have pain urinating. Am seeing urologist next week. Can still have erections and sex, but am concerned that these symptoms could be STD related. Any clues as to what this is?

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem is most likely due to fungal infection. After antibiotic therapy it is common to get fungal infection in many people. In such case i advise ointments with combination of antifungal like miconazole and steroid like flucinolone. You should also avoid irritants like soap. You can use saline or warm water for washing the area. Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further queries.
Thanks
