What Causes Itching Mouth Roof?

Hi, the roof of my mouth itches. I am not sure if i am allergic to something. my concern is that about 3 weeks ago i gave fellatio to a guy. he is the only guy i have been with this year. and i have become paranoid because im not sure if this is related. I do have allergies to grapes and ate some around this time but my mouth has been itching for the last 2 1/2 weeks.. any ideas...throat does not hurt.. tongue does not itch just roof of mouth (hard palate) thanks!

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain itching of the roof of the mouth is most probably due to allergic reaction to something which can be other than grapes and is unknown to you as if it would be due to grapes it would have subsided by now..
It may be allergic reaction to some tooth paste ingredient or mouthwash, at times cinnamon can also lead to itching of the roof of mouth..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and if required he can advise you get a blood test done to rule out the cause of the allergy as there must be antibodies present in the blood against the allergen by now and can be ruled out that what is causing allergy..

The best way to prevent further outbreak of symptoms is by avoiding exposure to allergen and for relieving the symptoms you can be advised to anti-allergens like Allegra or Claritin..
Gargle with a steroid containing mouthwash can also help..
