What Causes Itching And Swelling In Scrotum?

My scrotum has been itching all day, and I noticed that it is extremely swollen. Testicles inside seem fine and normal. but the skin on the underside of the testicles seems to have swollen so that my scrotum itself is huge! Recently my feet have been swollen as well.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.

Itching of the scrotum with edema of the scrotal skin and the edema going to the upper thigh is suggestive of the following:
The bacteria get entry into the layers of the scrotal skin. and spread the infection and inflammation to give the picture of what you have.

I would advise you the following:
Apply liquid Povidone iodine locally.
Get a course of an antibiotic and metronidazole in low dosage.
Anti-inflammatory medicines and multivitamins.

If there is a suspicion of a pus collection, you may need an incision of the skin to let out the pus, proper dressing and medicines will help to cure the problems.
