What Causes Itching And Red Rashes In Groin Area?

I ve developed and itching in my groin are. My scrotum has gone slightly red, and my inner my groin area has developed some red circular but flat spots. I ve tried jock-itch powder, which made the itching worse, and 1% hydrocortisone, which helps the itch but the spots haven t gone. Any suggestions? From your history and description, I would consider the possibility of a fungal infection.

Hydrocortisone will only worsen the fungal growth. Stop using that.

You could apply a cream containing 1 % clotrimazole twice a day for 2 weeks.

You could then continue with the powder you are currently using.
