I read your question completely and have understood it well enough. I will analyze all your points and provide necessary explanation and treatment.. 1. You suffered from urinary tract infection, Uti and have been treated.. I would like to tell you that, once prostate is involved in Uti, it s difficult to eradicate this disease.. But do not worry, it takes time... 2. Irritation on urination, it again indicates the same thing.. Presence of Uti. If there s no burning micturation, then suggest you to go with this approach or else, we need to evaluate further.. 3. Urifast, tablet yes it s prescribed on long term basis especially when prostate is involved in Uti... 4. Please do these following things.. A. Do not worry, have a positive hope that you ll be completely fine.. B. Drink lots of water, coconut water. Around 4 to 5 litre of water is advised daily. C. Get urine routine and culture, this will tell us any new infection present and sensitive antibiotic. Later we can treat you with sensitive antibiotic..
