Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Female hormones namely FSH and LH are involved in regulation of menstrual cycle and ovulation process. Your wife may be having these hormone imbalance leading to irregular menstruation. The cause for it needs to be determined and treated accordingly. It can be overcome by intake of hormonal medications, which can regulate menstrual cycle. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for appropriate evaluation and treatment. Once the menstrual cycle becomes regular, ovulation takes place in time and it would improve the chances of conceiving. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
