Hallow Dear,

What you suspect seems to be the most probable cause of your irregular periods. At the age of 43 years, you are in pre-menopausal phase of your life. Before actual menopause, for some months to years, you may get more and more irregular delayed menses. When you do not get menses for more than 6 months, you have accept it as menopause.

This is a normal phase of life cycle and should not cause any concern. If you develop any physical or psychological symptoms, you may report to your Gynaecologist.

I hope this helps you.
