What Causes Irregular Periods And Soreness In Breasts With History Of Tubal Ligation?

I had my tubes tied, however I have heard of pregnancies still happening. I have been having irregular periods, sore and larger breasts, dizziness, fatigue, weight gain, cravings and mood swings. What do you think is going on with me? I will be buying a pregnancy test tonight after work...

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
You have not mentioned your age and history of sexual exposure.
Pregnancy is very rare after tubal ligation. The symptoms you have mentioned are non-specific and do not necessarily suggest pregnancy. They may be due to hormone imbalance or other reasons. So, you should not be worried about having pregnancy. You should visit gynecologist for hormone profile.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.
