What Causes Irregular Periods Along With PCOs And Weight Gain?

Hi doctor, i ve been married for 5 years.. i started to have irregular menses since 3 years ago.. i went for check up & was told that i have pcos. I want to get pregnant.. i was given marvelon for 3 cycle and duphaston for another 3 cycle.. but but period still remain irregular.. what should i do? I started to put on weight after i noted the irregular menses.. how am i to go about?

Losing weight would help with the PCOS, that is part of the recommended treatment.

It helps to regularize periods and improve the chance of conception.

It can sometimes be difficult to lose weight on your own, if this is the case for you then you may need to see a weight loss doctor or enlist in an online or community program.

Metformin also helps with PCOS . Medication such as clomid can help to improve ovulation.
