I have irregular periods. I ve never had sex before. Me and my boyfriend were playing around. I ve missed my periods for 2 months now. And I ve been experiencing brown spotting. I took 2 pregnancy tests and they both came out not pregnant. I feel lost and have no idea what s going on. I m kind of scared and need help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.

Based upon your history there are some possible causes for your irregular periods
- PCOD which is the common among all and it can be diagnosed by hormone profile and ultrasonography.
- Thyroid disease also have effects on menses
- Stress and low hemoglobin levels will make your periods delay and should be ruled out soon.
But reason is definitely not pregnancy as you didnt had intercourse
Hope this answers your query.

Regards,
Dr.Alekhya.
