I Am a 24 year female with a very irregular periods. I was taking nuva ring for birth control until a 2 weeks ago. At the end of January I had a very heavy period with heavy clotting that lasted 12 days it stopped for 10 days and started up again. It has now been 23 day s and I am still bleeding the second period has been very light but I still have the heavy intermittent clotting. Before this I was having regular periods with the ring. I am wondering if I resume taking birth control if it will help or if it is the cause. Before taking birth control I had irregular periods but never one that lasted this long.
