What Causes Intolerance To Alcohol When Suffering From Under Active Thyroid?

My husband has a severely underactive thyroid and is taking synthroid. Since he has been on it I noticed that he is often unable to tolerate alcohol. He shows signs of drunkness on just 1-2 beer. Is this related to the thyroid issue or the drug? Prior to being diagnosed this didn t happen. His physician did not advise that he should not drink. Thank you

I donot see any relationship between thyroid disease & alcohol as well as synthroid & alcohol.the signs of drunkeness cannot be attributed to these.
