What Causes Intermittent Ear Infection, Itchy Ears And Smelly Discharge From Ears?

Hi im a 28yr old female, with no previous medical problems. I am of a slim build. I have been suffering on and off now for sometime with some kind of ear infection. My ears are itchy and very smelly the discharge is alomost white looking. I have been giving anti biotics and cortizole drops many a time and nothing is working.

Intermittent ear infection, itchy ears and smelly discharge from ears as per your query seems to be due to fungal infection, wax build up, fluid accumulation, and systemic disease infection. I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles and take steam twice a day and apply warm dry compresses to external ear. Consult ENT specialist for proper diagnosis. Doctor may examine by otoscopic means to check level of infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics amoxicillin at least for a week along with decongestants.
