What Causes Inflammation In The Hip Flexor ? How Can The Pain And Inflammation Be Reduced When Playing Sports ?

I went to the doctor about my hip flexor and they said it was inflamed, and to take Ibuprofen. I got this from track while running the 100m dash. I play soccer and so I kick the ball a lot and then I feel the pain whenever I lift my leg when I hit the ball. I ve had it for a about 3 months now. It s on my right leg,now i have like this ball in there that I can kind of move.
