What Causes Inflammation And Yellowish Discharge From Nipple?
I am 20 years old and my right nipple is red and inflammed. There is yellowish discharge and crusting on the nipple is present. I have been to the gp who prescribed fusidic acid cream . But did not help. She had referred me to breast clinic. Meantime I am bathing it in salt water but it is annoying and itchy it is sensitive and I wear a soft dressing to prevent it rubbing on my clothes. I have had this now for 4 weeks . Any further advise you can offer..

It sounds like you have mastitis an infection in the breast tissue. You probably need to be on an antibiotic for this. If your appointment in breast clinic is not very soon then I suggest your return to your regular doctor for a reevaluation and possible antibiotic prescription.
