What Causes Index Finger To Freeze?

My right index finger seems to freeze very easily no matter how I dress for the cold. Do I need to see a doctor? I am a 54 year old male who has worked outside all my life. It started this fall. When the temperature would get even to 36 it would get very cold.

is there any history of old injury. may be some vascular disorder which perant sufficiant and proper blood supply to the finger. get it examined by a surgeon. since it is only one finger more focus is on old injury.
