What Causes Increased Body Temperature?

I feel very warm, I have been for a few days now. Although it did subside on friday, I have been feeling this way since thursday. I finally took my tempature yesterday it stayed around 98.7, today it went from that to about 99.5. I dont seem to have any other symptoms. What could be the problem? Note: I am female, 19, not pregnant.

Hi

Thanks for posting your query.

Raised body temperature is most likely due to infection ( bacterial or viral or fungal ). Apart from infections there are other conditions which can cause raised body temperature. These are certain inflammatory conditions like vasculitis , certain medications and certain auto immune conditions.

But only common condition in females is ovulation . Ovulation occurs on 14th day of your cycle . So if you can tell me which day of your cycle you are in I can tell you if it's due to ovulation.

Otherwise you need to get Complete hemogramtest and CRP test and revert back with report.

Any clarification feel free to ask.
Regards.
