What Causes Increase In Liver Enzymes?

My 3 1/2 year old has been throwing up multiple times every afternoon and evening for the last 6 days. She has had no fever, or diarrhea but she does get clammy when she has her episodes of throwing up. She acts fine, plays well up until these episode but then will not eat for the rest of the evening and there is little warning before she has to throw up either and normally when in happens it is almost immediately after she does eat. We took her to the docter two days ago and they did a urine test and blood work and her liver enzymes were elevated but they didn't really give us any answers beyond that. I don't know if I am just being a paranoid mother or but it concerns me that something might really be wrong.

Hi welcome to health care magic...

Here your child's liver enzymes are elevated...
So some pathology might be there...

Hepatitis, cholestasis should be ruled out...

USG, hbsag detection, hcv antibody detection, serum bilirubin etc needs to be done....

For vomitting ondensetrone syrup prescribed...

Liver enzymes if not coming within range after few days than further work up needed...

Sometime temporary viral infection can lead elevated enzymes

Take care

Advise : gastroentetologist consultation for examination...
