What Causes Hot Flashes And Profuse Sweating When Diagnosed With Fibromyalgia?
I have been going through the change for about four years and still get very intense hot flashes but was also diagnosed with fibromyalgia a few years ago. My question to you is, could the fibro be causing my face, neck and chest to turn red and also make me sweat profusely. The hot flashes can last from a minute to 5 minutes or so. Thank You, Charlene
Hello, Fibromyalgia tends aggravate menstrual pain, increase fatigue and tiredness. But hot flashes are not seen with that condition. Hot flashes are usually seen in perimenopausal state. Some times those continue for a few weeks to few months post menopausal period also. Usually with setting is of menopause, symptoms reduce and may totally disappear. Use of soy beans has been found to be beneficial in reducing the severity, due to presence of flavins. Thanks
