Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
TY. Yes. I am a 56 year old male. I have CML and take Sprycel, 80 mg daily. I have had a few times where my stomach became very hot during sex. Today it started and seemed to explode throughout my body and into my arms. This was a very hot feeling. Almost like being injected with die. I almost passed out and became very nauseated. Any ideas. It only lasted about 10 minutes then eased up and finally went away.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have hot flashes along with nausea . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like changes in reproductive hormones and in your body's thermostat also known as hypothalamus, There can also be other reasons like cervical spondylosis , medication reaction or side-effect , thalassemia or anemia. I would suggest you to consult gynecologist for proper examination . To confirm the cause of your hot flashes, your doctor may suggest blood tests. Doctor may prescribe hormonal therapy along with drugs like venlafaxine and clonidine . For now drink plenty of water , do light exercises like walking and eat healthy .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
