What Causes Holes In The Throat Post Tonsillectomy?

I have a tonsillectomy 2 weeks ago, however yesterday a hole developed in one of the flaps of skin in the back of my throat. It is about the size of a pencil eraser tip. I have my second post-op appointment in 2 days. Should I go to the doctor sooner? What will the treatment be?
