What Causes Higher Protein Levels In Urine In A Diabetic?
I am a 71 year old slightly overweight, type 2 diabetic male. I have always enjoyed good health with no major issues, I take meds to keep blood pressure (benazapril) sugar (Metphormin) and cholesterol (Simvistatin), under control. During a recent routine 3 mo exam, a urine test revealed higher than normal protein levels. What might be the cause of this. It is a first for me and I am curious.
